REVIEW – Burnout Paradise (PS3/360/PC)

June 6, 2009

Burnout Paradise is Criterion Games’ latest installment in their Burnout franchise. Now of course my expectations were ridiculously high, but mainly because the theme song is by Guns ‘N’ Roses… oh, and also because I’m a huge fan of the Burnout franchise. Apparently the game also has loads of new features, such as sandbox gameplay and new ways to play online. So did it live up to the hype surrounding it?

REVIEW – Plants VS Zombies (PC)

May 26, 2009

On April 1st 2009, Popcap Games (the company that made Peggle & Bejeweled) released a trailer for their new game. It showed no gameplay and told you pretty much nothing about the game, except that there’s zombies on your lawn, and that you don’t like zombies on their lawn. So, is being different from the rest of the crowd payed off for DICE?

April 18, 2009

After the success of The Sims and SimCity, Maxis have now released Spore for the PC. I have to say that I had a hard time just trying to get the game to work. For a few weeks, the game just crashed every time I loaded it up. But finally, after some trolling on the internet I’ve been able to play the game. So now that I can review it, how does it stack up to other Maxis titles?

REVIEW – Netstorm (PC)

April 8, 2009

Ah, good ol’ Netstorm. It’s a game I loved so so much as a child and that I still love today. In my opinion, Netstorm is one of the best RTS games ever released. Netstorm was released in 1997, which was around the time that other big RTS games were being released, for example Age of Empires. Netstorm to this day still has very unique gameplay. But I’ll stop talking about how great the game is, and I’ll actually tell you why Netstorm is as great as it is.
